I don't think I could have ever imagined how much Kindergarten would have such an impact on us! Macie is very eager to learn and meet up with her friends every day. We are also very eager to hear how her day went at 3:00! I love seeing her papers she brings home. She even gets smelly marker smiley faces like I did in Kindergarten! hahah. She is a sponge and soaks up every bit of information she can. She reads to us at night now! I am just amazed at her every day. She gets lots of "caught yous" for being a good helper, friend and student. She's already preparing Isaac for school! School has also tagged another job title onto myself. I attended the first PTO meeting last month, and I like to say I was elected President by default. There were a whole 5 people at the meeting, 2 were teachers. So I left with the title of PTO president, and a big book of information in my hands. I was really discouraged with the attendance of people at the meeting, and knew there were more people willing to help out and be a part of their children's school. So with the help of my sister (who I kindly nominated VP) we got together names of parents who signed up for PTO. I made out a newsletter encouraging people to attend the next meeting, and bribing them with refreshments. My main goal was to get more people at the next meeting.
So our last meeting was on Monday, and I was excited to see a full house of parents and teachers there! The attendance was doubled (plus a couple more!) Thankfully, because we have a Family Fall Festival to plan!
