The honest truth to pumpkin carving

Top five moments of pumpkin carving with Macie

1. "Pumpkins smell pretty stinky mommy."

2. "Wait, let me get my garden hoe, I help too."

3. Crying, "Get this stuff off my hands!"

4. "Dont touch that yucky stuff, its pretty disgusting!"

5. "This is a big mess!"

Come On Over

Heres our proof of our little Macie singing her heart out to Jessica Simpson.

Pirates

Macie loves to entertain Isaac, and he thinks her room is the fun place to be! If you listen closely Macie is being a pirate! ha

Rock Star

When Macie wakes up with crazy hair in the mornings, or shes been up all day with no nap and finally falls asleep around 10, we call her Rockstar. So its only appropriate that her new favorite song to listen to is Pinks new song "So What." The lyrics consist of "So What, I'm still a rock star, I've got my rock moves..." (she really does have good rock moves) She LOVES this song and is constantly asking me to play Pink. So instead of singing normal childrens songs like "Heads and Shoulders Knees and Toes" She knows the words to Pinks music. Maybe I should invest in a nursury rhyme CD. Have I mentioned shes into Jessica Simpsons music too?

The Nukie Fairy

Macie has officially given her nukie away! She started off by giving it to baby Chelsea so it was still in her bed with her as a comfort. This past week I was putting toys away and put her nukie in the baby bin. She says to me "No this is not a toy mommy." So I asked where she wanted it. Then she says "I want to give it to the Nukie Fairy please." So we got out an our mailing supplies and put it in the mail box. The Nukie Fairy thanked her with a Strawberry Shortcake doll. :) Macie has been amazed at the whole process. So now we just need to get her into the "Potty Princess." So far, its not flying... sigh.

Fall days

I love taking fall photos of my kids. Isaac was so cooperattive, but Macie wanted nothing to do with the camera. ha ha. Hopefully I can get some more pictures later this week.

How'd they do that?

Isaac does not look very comfortable here, but he will go to great lengths to see his sister in action!

The Art of Forts

Last week I decided to let Macie in on the art of forts. I remember back when I would spend hours in forts. We would set up the card table to the old style TV cabinet, chairs set around it, and blankets covering the fort which were carefully secured by JC Penney and Sears catalogs. It was the perfect set up for sleepovers and movies! Macie set up her bed under her fort and brought in her babies. She even brought in toys for Isaac. They both had fun, and I think it was the first of many more forts to come!

BFF'S

Macie is still really good about sharing toys with Isaac. When it comes to her Strawberry Shortcake dolls though, that's a different story. Isaac got a hold of her Apple Dumplin doll and he was very content and happy playing with her and eating her hair. As soon as Macie saw him with her doll she told Isaac "No Isaac, That's Macies toy!" and took it away from him. Isaac started crying and Macie didn't know what to do. So like a good big sister, she gave it back to him, but she looked really sad. So I told her to go get him a baby toy and she could take Apple Dumplin back. So she did, and as she was giving him the new toy she says "Isaac you play with baby toys, not Macie's toys, OK!"

Five months and counting!

Success

Macie has passed her nukie on to her baby Chelsea! It took a few more days than I would have thought, and honestly there were times when I wanted to give her a new one! But she showed us and herself that she doesn't need it anymore. It was a pretty simple process, and I was a bit optimistic about it, but overall its been a success! Phew..
