The BRAT Diet

After being sick with a flu virus for about 4 days, Roger called our Dr. and he told us to eat nothing but the BRAT diet. I was familiar with the diet because its in every baby book, but I have never had to eat it before! Bananas, Rice, Apples, and Toast. It doesn't sound so bad, until that's all you can eat! Macie doesn't like to eat bread, so toast was out for her. She was on a strike with bananas, so that left apples and Rice. She wasn't interested in those foods either! So her diet consisted of Gatorade. I don't think I can look at any of those foods again for awhile! The diet did work, but we couldn't wait to eat real foods again. So moral of the story, I don't think any of us could ever make it on Survivor! Well, maybe Isaac.

Beautiful

You would never know from this photo that we were all sick with the flu last week! Its amazing how kids can bounce back! Thank goodness for that.

Will you be my Valentine?

Valentines Day has come and gone, but we had a great time celebrating the day! Macie loved making Valentines for all of her family, and she really enjoyed recieving Valentines as well. She still wakes up in the morning and says "Happy Valentines Day Mommy!"

Home

Here are just two pictures of the new house. I will follow with more, but we are still adding some things to rooms before I want to post pictures. :)

Look at me!

Isaac has turned a new leaf after turning nine months. Our once super chilled, laid back boy, has turned into a mischievous, curious, and silly little boy. He has figured out how to walk around furniture, and is wanting into everything hes not supposed to be in. Bathrooms, fridges, cabinets, and vacuum cleaners seems to be his favorite. Hes beginning to be more and more like his sister every day!

At Home with the Grendahls

Moving with 2 kids was a lot harder than it seemed. I mean, moving was fine, but moving IN is another story! I keep telling Roger I need a nanny so I can unpack with ease. Well its been a week, and I feel like I tackled the upstairs, now for the basement. GULP. The kids are adjusting well with the move. The first night was hard on Macie. She cried and asked to go home. I had to explain to her that this was our new home now. Now we all feel at home, and she keeps saying to me "this house is way better than us other house mommy." She has much more room to run and dance. Isaac loves to crawl around in the extra space and go exploring. I know I said stay tuned for pictures, so just keep tuning in. :) I am still adding some finishing touches.

Run, don't walk

Isaac has been paying close attention to his sister throughout his past 9 months, and apparently he decided that running after her would be more effective than walking. This is all he wants to do now!
