I'm the king of the.....Island???

Isaac has taken his skill of climbing to new levels. He now climbs up onto the stools, and gets himself up on the kitchen island! It shouldn't shock us, he's been climbing the tree house ladder all summer, but this skill is not one of my favorites of his. Everything is fair game to him now. I am hoping its just a phase... ha ha.

Ok, so you're not so bad

Macie has come to realize that Isaac isn't so bad all of the time. He still isn't allowed in her room. Well, he was for a short while until he decided to climb on her dollhouse. She gave him a shot at least! ha ha. She looks out for him, and when he sees her blanket laying on the floor, he grabs it and gives it back to her. ahhhh what a nice brother!

Nature

These are some pictures taken in South Dakota. We stopped on the side of the road and took a little hike down to the river. Isaac was amazed with all the water! Macie enjoyed picking the wild flowers. :)

Like Father, Like Son... is that how it goes?

I have been giving Isaac some ketchup to go along with his meals lately, and apparently he thinks his ketchup is his meal! "MMMMMMMmmmmmMM"

Exhausted!

Macie is known to fall asleep AFTER she reads a dozen books or so, but this night she was so pooped out, she didn't even have time to put the book down! It just melts our hearts!

Flintstone Park

Flintstone Park was the highlight of our trip for all of us. :)

Reptile Gardens... GULP

On our trip to South Dakota I was planning on skipping Reptile Gardens. The thought of snakes
gives me goosebumps and makes me cringe. As we were driving down the scenic highway with all the tourist signs Macie sees a billboard for Reptile Gardens. She says "Hey that signs says we need to go see snakes." Roger took that as an invitation for us all to go see snakes. I was getting goosebumps thinking about it, and was thankful when Isaac was sleeping when we pulled up. I eagerly volunteered to stay in the car with him. Macie was so excited to go see the snakes. WHAT? WHY? Isaac was awake within five minutes of waiting in the car, so I decided I needed to take one for the team and go inside also. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the reptiles. Thankfully, we bypassed the snakes! Phew!
