Kids are funny

As parents of a toddler and a preschooler, our house has been taken over by toys. My fault, and I will blame my family also, because none of us can resist toys that we grew up playing with. Well I have slowly brought some of Macie's toys down to the basement. She does not always like this because the basement toys are the "shared" toys. The other night she started bringing up stuffed animals into the living room. Roger asks a rhetorical question "geez, how many of these toys are you bringing up here?" Macie responds with "Well, actually, one, two, three, four.... four of them daddy." I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Ask a 3 year old a question, shes going to answer you honestly!
Macie is also into doing things all by herself. This means getting into her carseat and trying to buckle herself up. She left with my sister last week, and my sister asked her if she needed help getting in the car. Macie says "No I don't need any help." Auntie responds with "Well, don't you just have your smarty pants on today." and Macie says "um, no, actually they are called jeans." :)
